Transceivers

We provide our customers with the best available products based on cost and quality by offering Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) compatible transceivers at a fraction of the official RRP whilst ensuring only the highest quality components are used in every single product.

Our products are fully compliant with Ethernet, Fibre Channel, Infiniband, SONET/SDH/OTN, CPRI, CWDM, DWDM and PON standards and operate at data rates in excess of 100 Gb/s. They are capable of distances ranging from very short reach within a data centre to campus, access, metro, and long-haul reaches. They feature outstanding performance over extended voltage and temperature ranges, while minimizing jitter, electromagnetic interference (EMI) and power dissipation.

We ensure they are certified to the correct International Compliance Regulations and Health and Safety Legislation by having them tested and certified in the UK by UKAS accredited laboratories.

gbics SFP 1 Gigabit Modules

The gbics industry-standard Small Form-Factor Pluggable (SFP) Gigabit Interface Converter is a hot-swappable input/output device that plugs into a Gigabit Ethernet socket, linking the port with the network. The form factor and electrical interface are specified by a multi-source agreement (MSA) and can be used on a wide variety of multiple vendors products.

gbics XFP 10 Gigabit Modules

gbics small form factor 10Gb/s XFP transceivers are compliant with the current XFP Multi-Source Agreement (MSA) Specification and operate over a single wavelength or use CWDM and DWDM multiplexing techniques. They can be coded for compatibility with a wide range of vendor switches, routers, NIC’s and media converters.

gbics X2 10 Gigabit Modules

gbics small form factor 10Gb/s X2 transceivers are compliant with the current X2 Multi-Source Agreement (MSA) Specification and operate over a single wavelength or use CWDM and DWDM techniques. They can be coded for compatibility with a wide range of vendor switches, routers, NIC’s and media converters.

XENPAK 10G.png

gbics XENPAK 10 Gigabit Modules

The XENPAK 10Gb/s form factor transceiver has become more of a historical module and has been replaced by the more compact SFP+/XFP as the 10Gb/s transceivers of choice. However, there is still a requirement for these transceivers where an install base exists. GBICS continues to support XENPAK to the latest MSA standard and can be coded for a wide range of manufacturers.
