gbics SFP+ 10 Gigabit Cables are suitable for very short distances and offer a cost-effective way to connect within racks and across adjacent racks. gbics offers passive Twinax cables in lengths of 1, 2, 3, 5 and 7 metres and active optical cables in lengths of 7, 10, 12 and 15 metres.
Custom lengths are also available.
The added advantage of using gbics Direct-Attach and Active cables is the ability to code for multi-vendor solutions, allowing for a direct connection from one vendor’s switch, router or NIC to another using the same cable.
